"Your Body Bleeds"

Some women praise the red river that flows through their veins, to the pit of their stomach, to the opening to which their v's are stained.  It changes it's form from thick to easily flowing, from it's color being as red as the red sea to the dark red that fills the petals of a rose.  Your body bleeds, it releases the infertile seed.  Your body bleeds- it releases the infertile seed.

You cause me to lean forward in pain- every time.  Sometimes I wonder if God is a man, for all of this monthly pain we must go through, but I change my mind and know- She must be a woman, because She knows only a woman can carry the life of a child.

It accompanies me, it was the first sign of womanhood, it is womanhood.

What if men were the ones who menstruated? Would that determine their manhood?  But men do not know what it is like to carry the life of a child. They don't have the emotional aspect to know what it is like- to carry a child.

I can feel when your coming, and I count the days until you leave.  You are the hurricane when you come and the calm after you leave.

Your body bleeds, it releases the infertile seed.  Your body bleeds- it releases the infertile seed. Once a month, your body bleeds, letting go of everything that soon will be...
