I found this video while I was doing my daily search on Vimeo for something interesting and came across this.  This video def. had me thinking about how a lot of relationships don't work because their always one-sided; when one person loves more than the other it always ends up a problem..make sure your both on the same page always...love is not supposed to be one sided, make sure you're with someone who's going to love you back just as much

XXL 2011 Freshman Class

I think no one is more disappointed with XXL's pick this year than I am..I can say that I only have three out of the eleven rappers in my iTunes.  #1 for me is CyHi the Prince..i'm def. happy for the rapper for getting on this cover and personal opinion Kendrick Lamar, who is my #2 should've been on since last year...but i'm not going to complain...and then the #3 is Diggy Simmons. The other 8 rappers could've and should've been replaced with other people like Carlos St. John, Starrs & Murph, WordSpit (who needs to get signed-smh) & my dude Kale Dreamz(people are sleeping on him)...if Donnis & Blu and Exile were on their past covers I would probably be going off right about now BUT i'll slow it down a bit...who is this base God character like really? Big Krit, etc -____- this was my face when I saw this...I'll let you all have your own opinions on this...

Hottie of the Week: Janet Tam

Janet aka Claark Kent is like my #1 female crush.  I've known my "asian cuisine" since high school when we were forced to wear those hideous out of style plaid green skirts.  I remember how we never exchanged words until Junior year and it as like "love at first sight" our friendship has been consistent and fun ever since.  We've already planned half of our life together after i graduate LOL.  Reasons why i love my little "asian cuisine":
1. Shes the hottest asian I have ever met
2. Her style is unique just like mine (we love shoulder pads)
3. She's smarter than she thinks
4.  I dont come across a lot of females who are artistic like she is
5. She has such a huge heart..and is so full of love how can you not love her back

Both of our love for animals is going to have our apartment looking like a mini animal farm lol, you just wait & see

announcement:Whats Been Going On

So I know its been a while.  Some of you guys already know why and some of you may not.  Thanks for all of the support you guys, I really appreciate it...on a brighter note after this weekend I'll be going back to my regular old self posting every day(more or less).  Also my cousin, Naomi spoke to me the other night and told me she was 5 months pregnant..soo CONGRATS, but even a bigger congrats since she asked me to be the baby's godmother :) so registry lists & baby shower planning is going to be taking up most of my time, besides my artwork of course.  AND yes the rumors that you guys have been hearing are true.  I will be holding my first art exhibition soon in collaboration with my friend, Illustrator,Waun Daun, who you guys have seen earlier on the site.  Stay tuned I'll be keeping you guys posted on alot of stuff going on in the next few weeks

Of course pure art in this video.  I love when Nas and Damien come together and create music.  Nas is always be my favorite rapper of all time.  Many think he's a preacher but I don't care.  I supported Nas when Jay-Z was just mediocre and even when now Jay-Z seems to be the "best rapper" alive I still stick by Nas.  Much respect to the man who has never changed his flow throughout the years and has stuck by what he believes in and says.

Videographer and Director, Nabil, has done it again.  I always find his work to be genius and refreshing yet intimidating to the eye in a "i dont want to look, but i need to look" kind of way.  His signature of beautiful romantic oddities in his videos have always made me say: I want to be in this guys head 24/7.  Two of my favorite videos that he's directed is Morning Parade A&E and Coldest Winter for Kanye West. The best video/trailer that I personally think he's ever made is "Bouncing Cats".  If you have not seen it you should.  His videos have this way of flowing and spurring emotions of all kinds, not just one and I believe thats what art is supposed to do.

Hottie of the Week: Waun Daun

"Waun Daun.  MMMM isnt he a beauty? He is amazingly gorgeous, this guy never seems to be "a regular" for me and always amazes me every time i talk with him.  There's something about him that just makes me smirk just cause--i mean besides the fact that he's handsome..his persona is to die for.  We're always laughing when we talk to each other...def someone to have and keep around.  These are the reason I like Waun:

1. He's an illustrator :) 

2. He has a gap in between his front teeth im such a sucker for that

3. His voice is sooo soothing at night.  Love talking to him before i go to sleep

4. I know this is a bit weird, its hard to explain but he doesn't lie with his eyes..so many people have become so good at that..

5. His spirit is so clean cut that it makes me want to keep him wrapped under my sweater so no girl can harm him.

So I'm suppose to help him destroy his room to build it back up lol lets see what kind of art we create after the destroying part is over..Stay tuned to hear about Waun..he might just be a keeper.

feat. Geo Herriman

The famous Goerge "Geo" Herriman is one of the best comic book cartoonist/illustrators of all time.  Creator of Krazy Kat and Ignatz has inspired me to emerge as an artist through laughter while giving me a great insight on politics during his time and pure art.  Not too many people of my generation know who he is and its such a shame, a man who raised alot of racial debate because he was African American but no one knew for he looked Caucasian (yup even his death certificate said so when he wasn't...crazy, huh?)  The language within itself is genius.  Herriman mixed almost 5-6 different languages to create this comic's dialogue.  I sometimes find myself reading them out loud, imitating then laughing because of how it sounds.  This cartoon was a pure vision nurtured from the ground up and was probably the first cartoon to die with its creator instead of someone continuing it.  He caught the attention of artists like Andy Warhol and has become an idol to many.  I have all his Krazy Kat and Ignatz comic books...i love reading them over and over again.  If you have never read one look him up..get a comic of his, you wont regret it...find out more about Herriman here: Geo Herriman
